Las Vegas and lingerie parties may go together like peanut butter and jelly, but nowhere is this more prevalent (or welcomed) than the fourth annual Midsummer Night’s Dream: A Masquerade Lingerie Bacchanalia, held poolside at the Palms Pool & Bungalows.
With the Palms and the Playboy brand so closely intertwined, it was only appropriate that four years ago, a Vegas-ized takeoff of the infamous extravaganza at Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion was introduced to Sin City. Now, Las Vegas’ gods and goddesses can party, Mansion-style, in their own backyard—and actually be encouraged to bare their golden bodies even more than on an average weekend.
The party bears a masquerade carnival theme, and a mask or costume is required for entry into the erotic fantasyland where plenty of lace, pasties and even some Hefner-style silk pajamas abound. Creativity is encouraged, as nothing is too over the top for this party. (Think Halloween in August.) A team of party planners works in advance to set the scene with costumed characters, roaming performing artists, props, décor and lighting to set the scene.
This year’s festivities are hosted by none other than former Playboy model and blond bombshell Jenny McCarthy, who will also be accepting donations for the autism organization Generation Rescue.
