Vinny and the Party Pit girls
If Vinny can’t help you, he’s got a cousin who knows a guy whose sister did the hair for someone who can. That’s just the way it goes when you’re talkin’ to New York-New York’s spokesperson, a regular Joe who loves the Strip’s Big Apple-themed resort almost as much as those Yankees. Right now, he’s pumped about the hotel’s new Party Pit.
“They’re the hottest, sexiest girls in Las Vegas,” Vinny says of the new attraction, where guests can play blackjack and roulette while smokin’ hot dancers gyrate on a stage nearby. “It’s become a real institution around here. People come to see the Party Pit girls. And I’m not knockin’ any other party pits around town, but these girls, they work it.”
The “institution,” as Vinny describes it, gets under way from 3 p.m.-3 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2-8 p.m. on Sundays. Party pits have become big business in Las Vegas, with casinos looking to provide an alternative to lounge acts and other forms of entertainment. Vinny, for one, is a fan.
“It’s one thing when someone’s up there going, ‘Jeez, what time do I get off here?’ That’s not these girls. They’re real professional and hot as hell. So I work as much as I possibly can with them, you know?”
As 2010 comes to an end, Vinny and the New York-New York crew are preparing for a huge New Year’s Eve blowout, Bridge Bash 2011, an open-bar party to be held outside on the Brooklyn Bridge with music from DJ Chris Landry and a great view of the fireworks on the Strip. There are plenty of party packages available (visit newyorknewyork.com for more details), ranging from bottle service at Rok Vegas nightclub to dueling pianos at The Bar at Times Square. And then there’s what might be the best package of all—Vinny’s favorite—which includes tickets to Zumanity and admission to Bridge Bash 2011.
“You can go to the show, get real excited and stimulated, and then go get loaded,” he said. “And then God knows what happens after that, right?”
