Playmate sticks to the party plan
Self-professed party girl Laura Croft is in the right place as hostess of the new Night School 4 Girls at Excalibur. The Holly’s World star and former Playboy Playmate recently signed on to help ladies of all shapes, sizes and ages unleash their inner bombshell in the interactive class, which features lessons in pole dancing, burlesque and other seductive moves. Croft chatted with Las Vegas Magazine’s Kiko Miyasato about her sexy new venture.
Q: How did you get involved with Night School 4 Girls?
A: SPI Entertainment approached me about being the spokesmodel for it; I guess because of my party girl reputation and because I’m fun, down to earth and like to have a good time.
Q: What’s your role in the class?
A: I’m not the instructor, but I’m there at least three times a weekend. I just go in and get the girls amped up, buy them shots and make sure that everyone’s having a good time. I also offer party tips, since I’ve basically made a career out of partying. Most girls that come are from out of town so they want advice on where to go and what to do.
Q: Can you share a party tip with me?
A: When you’re at a bar and you feel like you want to freshen your breath, but you don’t want to chew gum ’cause it might ruin your drink … take a shot of Rumple Minze. Because you’re multitasking—freshening your breath and still getting drunk, all at the same time.
Q: What’s Night School 4 Ghouls (Oct. 30)?
A: We’re having Halloween-themed classes and you come in your Halloween costume; it’s just to mix things up a little bit. I think it’s going to be really fun!
Q: How has your life changed since Holly’s World?
A: First of all, I moved out to Vegas, so it’s definitely a different pace than Florida, which is where I’m from. But, it’s been a lot of fun; I’m glad I did it.
Q: You posed for Playboy. How did that come about?
A: I had a few friends that were Playmates and I just decided one day that I wanted to try it. So I sent in my photos and got a call back just a few days later.
Q: Were you comfortable posing nude?
A: I was used to posing in bikinis and lingerie so, I mean, just missing a few inches of fabric really wasn’t that big of a difference.
Q: So, what type of women take the class?
A: I’ve had girls coming for their 21st birthday, older women and girls coming for their bacherlorette party who bring their mothers with them; so we’ve had a whole range of women.
Q: Did you ever imagine that you would end up in Las Vegas, working and filming a reality TV show?
A: No, I never thought that. I always wanted to end up in Vegas though because it’s the most flamboyant place in the world and that’s where I belong.
