Amy Toliver
Three nights a week, Tropicana is turning up the sexy over at its Ambhar Lounge with iCandy Burlesque. And helping to lead all the eye-popping, over-the-top fun is dancer Amy Toliver. The iCandy experience is free, nonstop entertainment that includes three half-hour performances Thursday through Friday, and in between numbers patrons enjoy gaming, go-go dancers, pole dancers, singers and much more. “Our goal is to create a kind of party, uplifting atmosphere for five hours straight,” Toliver said.
Toliver jump-started her dance career while she attended a performing arts school in Hollywood. Besides iCandy Burlesque, one of the highlights of her dance career so far, she said, was when she danced professionally for the Arizona Cardinals. “I absolutely loved cheering for the NFL. We did a lot of military entertainment overseas, Afghanistan, Iraq. One of the most favorite things I’ve done is entertain our soldiers overseas,” she said. Although dance is still a priority, Toliver is currently enrolled in nursing school. “Nursing school by day, and dancer at night,” she said. “The two balance me out.” Toliver lives at Tropicana during the iCandy Burlesque schedule and then commutes back to Arizona, her home state, to attend school.
“The best part of my job is to see the connection that I’ve made with an audience member,” Toliver said. “I think it’s incredibly awesome that I get paid to do what I do.”

Cotton Candy Man
