Bree Olson

Catching up with the blond goddess

Bree Olson

Bree Olson, ex-adult industry starlet and ex-Charlie Sheen goddess, is currently focusing her attention on Hollywood as she pursues an acting career. But Olson happily returns to the world of adult entertainment for one weekend to co-host the Adult Video News Awards on Jan. 21 and sign autographs at the Adult Entertainment Expo on Jan. 20. She recently chatted with Las Vegas Magazine’s Kiko Miyasato about her decision to leave the industry—and had just one comment about the Sheen shenanigans.

Q: How did you feel when AVN asked you to co-host its 2012 awards show?
A: I was excited, but I kind of thought twice about it because I’m not involved in the adult industry anymore. I had left (the industry) so abruptly when I had started dating Charlie (Sheen) that I never really got the chance to say a full farewell and goodbye to everyone, not just my co-workers who had been great to me over the five years but also my fans.

Q: When you were in the industry you won AVN’s Best New Starlet for 2008. Were you surprised?
A: It was really, really crazy competition that year. In my first year I paid a lot of attention to all the people that were in the industry and I was very much involved in the group setting, so you know it was a big deal to me. I worked really hard in that first year, that’s probably the hardest that I’ve ever worked … I think that’s what really established my name, though.

Q: Last year you posed in Playboy. How did that go?
A: It was nice. I loved it! They came to me and asked if I would be interested and I was like, “Of course!” It’s a magazine that I’ve always looked at; I’d always idolized the women in there.

Q: What about the “Charlie Sheen days”? Do you have any comment on that time in your life?
A: It was definitely an interesting experience, that’s for sure. Charlie’s one of a kind.

Q: So what’s in store for 2012?
A: I’m going to move to L.A. I already have an apartment there, but I’m going to go out full time so I can fully surround myself with acting. I’m going to be taking acting classes, I have a mainstream agent, and I’ll be going to auditions. I’m going to be popping up in little places and hopefully in some bigger places soon. I’m excited!
