At Dream Racing, there’s no time for sightseeing or taking your eyes off the track. With your hands gripped 9 and 3 o’clock on the steering wheel inside a Ferrari F430 GT race car, it’s all business—adrenaline-fueled, speedometer-busting business.
Guests learn firsthand the power of auto racing on a 1.1-mile track inside Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where Dream Racing CEO Enrico Bertaggia has unveiled a deluxe driving experience. It begins inside Dream Racing headquarters, where guests go over driving procedures in a short instructional video, then step inside a three-dimensional simulator that re-creates the track.
Once outfitted in a Dream Racing suit, balaclava and helmet, it’s out to the track, where an instructor rides shotgun, suggesting when to shift gears and when to put the pedal to the floor to bring the car up to speed for the next lap.
For newbies, the experience can be a bit nerve-wracking, since most drivers aren’t accustomed to taking tight turns at such high speeds. But as the instructors prove during ride-along sessions (available for $179), there’s a big difference between your idea of fast and theirs.
