A culinary adventure awaits when you book a tour with The Walking Gourmet, a delicious way to spend an afternoon in Vegas. This sensory journey has you eating delectable food, sipping cocktails and sharing laughs.

One such recent tour taking place at Mandalay Bay and Mandalay Place called Project Paradise, started at Border Grill (pictured). After introductions and a check on food allergies, the journey begins. Chips and salsa appeared in abundance and classic margaritas followed. Executive chef Mike Minor stepped out to explain the dishes being served: melt-in-your-mouth beef brisket taquitos and green corn tamales. Next up was Minus5 Ice Bar. Heavy coats, boots and gloves were handed out before entering the bar made entirely out of ice, including the glasses that the cocktails are served in!

Rí Rá, an authentic Irish pub, did not disappoint, with generous portions of fish and chips with tartar sauce and Irish rémoulade washed down with a cool summer shandy. Crossroads at House of Blues had the crew trying spicy jambalaya, voodoo shrimp, seared tuna tostadas and a refreshing pinot grigio. The Foundation Room, at 481 feet up, was the last stop, with decadent pastries the only thing rivaling the breathtaking Strip view.
