With the huge craze of dry bars popping up all over Las Vegas recently and the blowout being the new fad, Vegas is happy to embrace salons like Dollheads. Located inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort, Dollheads is an original salon offering only blowouts and extensions—no cut or color jobs at all. Dollheads co-owner and co-founder Osnat Binymin describes the concept for the cool new salon.
“We had a company that offered hair extensions for many years and my business partner, Madaar Osman, and I realized that offering exclusively that with custom blowouts and even makeup for a woman to get all ‘dolled’ up before she goes out and getting it for a reasonable price would be enticing to many.”
She was right. Since being open for about four months, the store has had a wide range of clients—everyone from bachelorette parties and weddings to local women looking to be glammed up. She owes a lot of the store’s success to social media and a video that has appeared in many of the hotel rooms that promotes the $40 blowout (a price that is a lot more reasonable than some of the salons around the valley). Make sure to book your primp appointment in advance though. On weekends the salon is so busy that its 12 chairs cannot service everyone who wants to be styled to the nines.
