R&B singer Trey Songz is all about the fans. “As I enter this next chapter of my life, what better way than to celebrate with the very people who have made me who I am today: my fans and my angels,” he said in a statement announcing his latest tour. “They are continuously there for me, and as we embark on the Chapter V World Tour, I plan on giving them the experience of a lifetime.”
That experience will certainly include the crooner’s numerous hits, from “Can’t Help But Wait,” “I Need a Girl” and “Can’t Be Friends” to the top 10s “I Invented Sex,” “Say Aah” and “Bottoms Up.” There’s an obvious theme running through those titles, and plenty of Songz’s “angels” are no doubt women who are won over by his smooth, seductive style and sexy lyrics.
Songz’s new album Chapter V has lots of seduction, but it’s also a great party record, with guest appearances from hip-hop stars like T.I., Young Jeezy and Sean “Diddy” Combs. Songz knows how to create a good time both in and out of the bedroom, although he’ll only be able to focus on one of those during his show. His angels will just have to take care of the rest on their own.
