Vogue magazine once called Kim Vo “the best blonder in the business.” His client list reads like a who’s who of Hollywood; he counts Kate Hudson, Katherine Heigl, Britney Spears and Dakota Fanning among the stars he’s made blonder. Now the colorist to the stars has made the move from a salon at The Mirage to his new eponymous space at the Palms. Vo brought his team of stylists and colorists, who he trained himself, to pamper clients seven days a week.

Vo kicked off his career in New York City, then moved on to join Cristophe and Privé in Beverly Hills, where he worked on the tresses of Bill and Hillary Clinton. A stint with L’Oréal elevated him to master colorist and sent him abroad to Europe where he studied French techniques. By 2000, he was ready to open his own salon, B2V, which drew celebrities such as Pamela Anderson and Goldie Hawn to get their blond hair even blonder.

Now Vo not only has two salons in Beverly Hills and Laguna Beach, Calif., and one in Park City, Utah, but he has also found himself in the spotlight, working with Extreme Makeover on ABC, Daily 10 on E! Entertainment and Shear Genius on Bravo.

At the new Kim Vo Salon at the Palms, look for Vo’s signature line of Hairtini treatments, a deep conditioner customized to different hair types that has the added benefit of shine. Vo also has his V-Layage treatments, a 30-second kiss of color that gives hair a sunny disposition.

The salon also features the Braid Luxe Lounge, where guests can pick out different ponytails and braids, and the Wig Bar, where clients can visualize the latest hairstyles and preview them before committing to a new style. The salon even offers makeup applications, waxing and manicures and pedicures.
