Twenty years is indeed a milestone, and during the last year, The Forum Shops at Caesars celebrated its 20th anniversary in Las Vegas. While the mega shopping center has grown and seen retailers come and go over the years, new designers are just now calling the mall home.
The queen of the wrap dress, Diane von Furstenberg, just opened a prototype store at The Forum Shops at Caesars in November. The 2,000-square-foot store showcases von Furstenberg’s imaginative prints on a background of black and white created by Kramer Design Group. That direction highlights the new role of accessories in a lounge taking up about twice the retail space as previous stores. Inside find DVF’s collections of handbags, shoes, belts and sunglasses displayed on an illuminated tiered glass table at the store’s entrance, as well as in the accessories lounge. The entire DVF ready-to-wear line—dresses, sportswear, evening wear and DVF 1974— also finds a home in the store. The opening marks DVF’s second Las Vegas locale. The designer has 58 freestanding stores and 27 in-store shops worldwide.
In addition, Michael Kors temporarily moved into the former Dolce & Gabbana space at The Forum Shops at Caesars while the store goes through a renovation. The temporary spot includes the full line of Michael Kors, KORS Michael Kors and MICHAEL Michael Kors labels, including accessories, footwear, watches and jewelry, men’s and women’s ready-to-wear and a full line of fragrance products. Other newcomers to the mall include Panerai, Hublot, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Hearts On Fire. Also opened in 2012 were Alfred Dunhill, Rolex, Kate Spade, Breitling, Henri Bendel and Peter Lik’s newest gallery.
