Bill Engvall is getting a little older. And he’s not so happy about it.
During his stand-up routines, Engvall has plenty to tell you about the aging process. He’ll maybe fill you in on the joys of the requisite colonoscopy. (Spoiler: It’s not so fun.) He might talk about being an empty nester. This really wouldn’t be such a big deal for him, except that it also means his wife has an empty nest, and there’s only one place for her to focus her attention—on him. That means when it comes to bra shopping, it’s Engvall that gets dragged along. And, now, his wife wants date night. Date night? He’s a married man!
Although Engvall is known for his “Here’s your sign” jokes made famous during the Blue Collar Comedy Tour heyday, he’s done a lot since, releasing comedy albums, hosting game shows and starring his own comedy series. Now, he’s voicing a character in CMT’s upcoming series Bounty Hunters.
He uses those experiences for his stand-up comedy, but it really is the everyday experiences that provide the biggest laughs, such as his standoff with a 10-year-old, where the two went head-to-head with mocking faces. Wonder who won?
