So just who is this Claire Sinclair, star of the new Stratosphere production PIN UP?
Well, for starters, she’s not your average Strip headliner. Sinclair, just 21 years old at press time, was Playboy’s Miss October in 2010 and, later, Playmate of the Year 2011. Her curves (the prototypical 36-24-36 according to the pages of that very magazine) have been in demand in Las Vegas, where she celebrated her 21st birthday, palled around with Holly Madison on E!’s Holly’s World and guest-starred in MGM Grand’s Crazy Horse Paris, a performance that was more or less a forerunner to her role in PIN UP, which made its debut last week.
Crazy Horse proved that Sinclair could take on a bigger role, and PIN UP provides just that. In the production, choreographed by Dancing With the Stars’ Lacey Schwimmer and co-produced by Stratosphere headliner (and PIN UP lead-in) Frankie Moreno, calendar girls come to life in a throwback to the 1940s, ’50s and ’60s. Sinclair has even been brushing up her dance moves to fit the part, one which, while not topless, is nonetheless sexy. And timelessly so.
