The Too Hot Tamales are at it again. Chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger of Food Network and Bravo fame opened the city’s second Border Grill in 2014, bringing Latin-inspired flavors to The Forum Shops at Caesars. Start with Border Classics, featuring three small appetizers: quinoa fritters, green corn tamales and plantain empanadas. At lunchtime, the Cubano torta is a variation on the standard Cuban sandwich, with smoked ham, pork, spicy habanero mustard, pickle and Gruyère cheese. Satisfying taco plates—beef brisket, citrus grilled chicken and chile lime shrimp—are all worthy of consideration.

Dinner entrées include Yucatan pork, rubbed with achiote and braised in banana leaves with caramelized plantains, and the pescado Veracruzano, a fried snapper topped with white wine oregano butter, picholine olives and shaved jalapeño.

If it’s a fresh catch you want, the ceviche bar offers novel takes on the dish, along with some other raw seafood standards. Check out the Peruvian ceviche made with mahi mahi, lime, ginger, aji chiles and plantain chips.

Border Grill is known for its brunches as well, and lovers of that meal will be happy to know the unlimited small plates menu is available on Saturdays and Sundays. You’ll find that even dishes like chicken and waffles and red velvet pancakes can benefit from an infusion of new flavor.
