That time of day to wash away your worries with discounted food and drink to get the night started, happy hour consumes restaurants and bars up and down the Strip. No matter what time of day, there’s a place to get your drink and eat on somewhere. Here, a look at nine that get the party started, or ended.

1. Coyote Ugly (New York-New York)

There’s nothing like getting the night going with wild gals dancing on the bar. Coyote Ugly serves up just that, along with a nightly happy hour from 6-9 p.m. with libations such as $5 well drinks and beer and $3 Jell-O shots.

2. Hussong’s Cantina (The Shoppes at Mandalay Place)

Ay, caramba! Land 50 percent off plazero grilled corn, nachos or stacked quesadillas and $3 chicken, steak and carnitas tacos every Monday through Thursday from 2-5 p.m. Wash it all down with a half-price original margarita, draft beer or well cocktail.

3. Chart House (Golden Nugget)

Sip your cocktails and dig into happy hour specials in front of a 75,000-gallon aquarium filled with convict tang, slingjaw wrasse, striped sweetlips and humpnose unicorns every Monday through Friday from 4-6 p.m. Try Mediterranean chicken pita for $7, truffled shoestring fries, plantains and sweet potatoes for $5 or the ahi nachos for $6. The fish won’t hold that against you.

4. Culinary Dropout (Hard Rock Hotel)

When you don’t want to know what you’re getting, Culinary Dropout has the answer. Every Monday through Friday from 3-6 p.m., order up the $6 Double Blind, a paper bag with a beer and a mystery shot. Both will pair nicely with pretzels and fondue for $6 and the house potato chips and onion dip for $3.

5. Mercadito (Red Rock Resort)

If you miss one happy hour at Mercadito, you can go right to the next. Daily from 3-6 p.m. and then at night starting at 9, 10 or 11 p.m., get a free order of chips and choice of salsa with the purchase of a happy hour cocktail. Other deals include two tacos or guacamole and cocktails from the Tippling Bros., all for $6.50.

6. Serendipity 3 (Caesars Palace)

Participate in one of Las Vegas’ favorite pastimes—people-watching—during happy hour every Monday through Friday from 2-6 p.m. with views overlooking the Strip. Drink $2 draft beers or pick up some tropical tuna tacos, beef sliders or a classic sundae for $5 each.

7. Level 107 Lounge (Stratosphere)

Head up, up, up for one of the highest happy hours west of the Mississippi River on the 107th floor of the Stratosphere. Go early from 4-7 p.m. for half-price appetizers and two-for-one cocktails or go late from 10:30 p.m.-1 a.m. for those cheap apps and from 1-4 a.m. for doubled-up cocktails.

8. Social House (The Shops at Crystals)

A swanky mall requires an equally posh happy hour, so Social House refers to the hours from 5-8 p.m. as social hour. Nab drink specials on beers, specialty cocktails, sake and wine starting at $3, as well as menu items like Kobe sliders, teriyaki chicken and bronzed broccoli from $4-$12 and specialty rolls starting at $5.

9. El Segundo Sol (Fashion Show)

Let’s go crazy. At El Segundo Sol, it’s all about the Loco Hour daily from 4-7 p.m. and 11 p.m. to close, and that’s all about the drinks, including tableside margaritas for $5, tallboy cans of beer for $4.25 and for the rowdier crowd, $3 Cazadores tequila shots.
