Chris D’Elia has described himself as a comedian who acts, but that acting career has been gaining more traction lately. Although his sitcoms Glory Daze and Whitney didn’t last long, D’Elia is heading into the second season of the comedy Undateable, playing Danny Burton, a womanizing single man who makes it his mission to help his roommate and his roommate’s friends meet women. The cast is full of D’Elia’s fellow comedians, and he and co-star Brent Morin improvise plenty of back-and-forth riffs.

Undateable is just the latest vehicle bringing D’Elia’s comedy to a wider audience. He’s been performing since 2006, and in that short time, become one of the hottest comedians around. He premiered his first Comedy Central special last year, and his current Under No Influence tour finds him performing at increasingly larger venues. The material he’s performing is set to be included in his next stand-up special next year. That’s also when Undateable’s second season premieres, meaning that 2015 may just be the year of Chris D’Elia, and this week, fans in Las Vegas can get in on it early.
