Lady Gaga never does anything small, and the tour for her album Artpop is no exception. Dubbed ArtRave: The Artpop Ball, it features production every bit as grand and elaborate as any of the singer’s previous tours, including outrageous costumes, intricate choreography and mind-boggling sets. And of course throughout the show, Gaga always sings live, setting herself apart from so many other pop stars who rely on lip-syncing and backing tracks.

The unique stage is split into two parts, connected by a translucent catwalk so that audience members underneath it can still watch the show. Gaga’s costumes include a tentacled dress, a seashell bikini, a necklace made of marijuana leaves and a pair of bejeweled wings, along with other, tamer outfits. As for the music on tap for Vegas on July 19, expect a mix of songs from Artpop along with past Gaga hits like “Bad Romance,” “Born This Way” and “Poker Face,” plus the occasional surprise.

“Gaga invests her spectacles with an undeniable sweetness and heart,” The Hollywood Reporter said of the ArtRave tour, and indeed Gaga has always been about forging an emotional connection with her fans. She always takes time to inspire them from the stage, both by offering up words of encouragement and by interacting with them directly, bringing them up onstage with her or inviting them backstage. As her live performances become bigger and bigger spectacles, and her songs get more complex and challenging, that direct connection to her devoted fans is what always seems to remain the same.
