What’s better than a two-day festival full of more than 150 varieties of wine? How about a two-day festival full of more than 150 varieties of wine, plus performances from some of the hottest artists in music? That’s what you’ll get at this year’s Wine Amplified. Now in its ninth year, the festival is one of Vegas’ premier events for combining booze and music, and it’s grown so much that this year’s edition has been moved to the larger Village from its former home at Mandalay Bay Beach. That means more space for all those wines (from more than 60 different wineries), plus beer and cocktails, with a craft beer garden, a hidden speakeasy, grape stomping and much more.

And even if you’re more of a light drinker, Wine Amplified functions just as well as a musical extravaganza. On Oct. 10, headliners Train, the rockers whose hits include “Drops of Jupiter” and “Hey Soul Sister,” will top the music lineup, which also includes folk/hip-hop hybrids Michael Franti and Spearhead, veteran alt-rock trio Better Than Ezra, indie rockers Of Verona and blues guitarist Ayron Jones and his band The Way. On Oct. 11, the music lineup is led by pop-punk trio Blink-182 (“What’s My Age Again?,” “All the Small Things”), along with alt-rock icons Violent Femmes, reggae-pop band Magic!, folk-rock ensemble The Mowgli’s and reggae fusion group the Mystic Roots Band.
