Hello Kitty is an international superstar. The cute character introduced by Japanese company Sanrio in 1975 has grown into a $7 billion industry. She was even the subject of a recent retrospective exhibit at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles. People who first discovered Hello Kitty as kids are now adults who are eager to connect with fellow fans. Those fans are the driving force behind the first-ever North American Hello Kitty tour, dubbed Hello Kitty’s Supercute Friendship Festival.

The festival brings Hello Kitty fans together for live performances by Hello Kitty and her friends (including dancing and audience participation), interactive exhibits (including Hello Kitty’s house) and exclusive merchandise. Fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Hello Kitty characters and join My Melody’s Super Sweet Friendship Fashion Show. While the festival is certainly kid-friendly, Hello Kitty fans of all ages are welcome. It’s a one-stop shop for everything supercute.
