Whether it’s the Cirque du Soleil-inspired Light, indoor-outdoor escapades at Drai’s and Chateau or the pure beauty of Omnia’s high-tech chandelier, clubbers are mesmerized by everything involving nightlife in Las Vegas. And having a memorable night is easy—just obey the following tips.

Check the lineup

Most of the time people go to nightclubs because of superstar DJs or special guest performers. If you’re an EDM fan, you’ll want to check out stars like Calvin Harris and Tiësto doing double duties at Hakkasan (MGM Grand, 702.891.3838) and Omnia (Caesars Palace, 702.785.6200), or Alesso and Baauer at Light (Mandalay Bay, 702.693.8300). If you’re into R&B and hip-hop, there’s plenty of performers with residencies, too, including Chris Brown and The Weeknd at Drai’s (The Cromwell, (702.777.3800) and Snoop Dogg and DJ Khaled at Tao (The Venetian, 702.388.8588).

Find a VIP host

It’s all about who you know, but sometimes that can be tricky, especially if you’re visiting. Enter the VIP host. Visit your concierge desk to put you in contact with one to get advantages like direct access—which means no waiting in line.

Come dressed to impress

The wrong outfit can turn a hyped-up night into a horrendous one. For ladies, whether it’s a slim-fitting little black dress with stilettos or a miniskirt, crop top and pumps, it’s all good. For men, a semi-casual look of slacks or clean-cut jeans with a buttoned-up shirt and dress shoes will work—no tennis shoes, shorts, jerseys or hats allowed, period.

Book luxury transportation

With the help of Presidential Limousine (702.438.5466), ride around in style in a stretch limo for small groups (2-6 people), a Hummer or Escalade limo (7-14 people) or a limo coach party bus (20-plus people). Whatever your total may be, splitting the costs evenly among your group can actually work out cheaper than taking a cab.

Get there early

Nightclubs tend to hit capacity around midnight, so your best bet is to arrive within 30 minutes of the doors opening. Be punctual just as if you were going on a job interview. This holds true if you’re getting bottle service, too.

Go for open bar

Beyoncé said it best: “Who run the world? Girls!” Indeed they do, with free admission at most nightclubs. But even better than that? Complimentary beverages. Drink up, because open bar generally lasts only an hour depending on the venue. However, LAX (Luxor, 702.262.4529) offers open bar from 10:30 p.m.-midnight; it’s only select drinks that you can order, such as cranberry and vodka, but who cares? Just be sure to tip the bartender.

Party lavishly

Thinking about popping bottles? Midweek bottle service tends to be a little cheaper. Dance floor tables are more expensive because of the proximity to the action. Also, if your group is larger than allowed per bottle, the nightclub will require an additional bottle purchase (It’s usually about five people per bottle). If you do go the bottle-service route, plan on spending at least $80-$100 per person. Helpful tip: most bottle purchases guarantee your party a table and cover charge included.
