FlowRider

Can you really hang ten in the desert? Absolutely! The first-ever in Las Vegas, the FlowRider Wave-in-a-Box Double adds excitement to the pool season at Planet Hollywood Resort. Whether you’re a professional or newbie, surf the machine-made waves bodyboard style, or stand up on one of the flowboards. And don’t worry about wiping out; the FlowRider provides a surface that absorbs the impact. Those looking for more kicking back than kicking waves can visit the property’s Pleasure Pools. With more than two dozen cabanas and daybeds, live DJs spinning, two bars and bikini contests all summer long, it’s more than pleasurable—it’s memorable. 702.785.5555

Mandalay Bay Beach

The desert is full of sand, but not like the 2,700 tons of sand you’ll find at Mandalay Bay Beach. If you can’t make it to the ocean, The Beach is the next best thing, with its own 1.6 million-gallon wave pool. The waves splash upon row after row of lounge chairs, with 100 cabanas, daybeds, bungalows and villas lining the outer perimeter. Guests can also dine at the open-air café or grab an inner tube for a float on the lazy river. The Beach also plays host to ticketed concerts throughout the season, such as the Australian Pink Floyd Show on Sept. 4. 702.632.7777

Rehab, Nirvana and Breathe Pools

On nearly 5 acres, the pool complex at Hard Rock Hotel offers three vibes. Rehab Pool hosts the famous Rehab pool parties; six luxurious poolside VIP bungalows were recently added. A sandy beach and tiki-inspired cabanas round out the watery escape where celebrities host and A-list DJs spin, like Pauly D, who appears Sept. 5. The Nirvana and Breathe pools offer a quieter, more intimate scene with plush lounge chairs, food and beverage service, lush vegetation and shallow waters. 702.693.5000
