Few late-’90s bands provided more earworms than Third Eye Blind. The San Francisco-based group, which now consists of Stephan Jenkins, pictured, Brad Hargreaves, Kryz Reid, Alex Kopp and Alex LeCavalier, helped define that decade’s irresistible combination of pop and grunge, cranking out top 10 hits like “Semi-Charmed Life,” “How’s It Going to Be,” “Never Let You Go” and “Jumper.” The band can’t exactly be called prolific, producing only five studio albums since forming in 1993—fifth studio album Dopamine was released this year—and it’s experienced multiple lineup changes, but Third Eye Blind has proven it is not a band of the moment.

And for a double-dose of that addictive sound, Third Eye Blind is pairing with emo band Dashboard Confessional on July 11. Fans of Spider-Man 2 will remember the group’s memorable film closer, “Vindicated,” but the band, fronted by Chris Carrabba, has had an impressive discography throughout the ’00s, including debut album The Swiss Army Romance in 2000, which was reissued in 2010 and performed in its entirety by Carrabba during a solo tour that same year.
