As the 100th anniversary of Frank Sinatra’s Dec. 12 birth date approaches, Frank Sinatra Jr. will be paying tribute to his father at The Smith Center as only he can. Sinatra Sings Sinatra: The Centennial Celebration combines Sinatra Jr.’s faithful renditions of the Chairman of the Board’s interpretations of the Great American Songbook with a multimedia show examining the life of the recording era’s first great song stylist. From “All or Nothing at All” to “New York New York,” Sinatra Jr. delivers a lifetime of musical devotion and discipline to his father’s repertoire, providing a living legacy in more ways than one.

Sinatra Jr. is now 71, which was Sinatra’s age when he performed at Golden Nugget in the mid-’80s (the era was captured on the posthumously released 2005 album Live From Las Vegas). By the end of that decade Sinatra Jr. would be leading dad’s band, where he would spend the next seven years as both devoted son and pre-eminent scholar of his father’s music. He’ll be taking the show to the U.K. for a tour, culminating with a performance at Royal Albert Hall.
