Since 2009, Aaron Benward has been co-hosting Nashville Unplugged, a showcase for the unsung musicians who keep the country music industry going: the songwriters. Benward was one half of the country-music duo Blue Country, and Howard has had a hand in writing songs for artists like Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley. Benward and current co-host Travis Howard are both experienced singers, musicians and songwriters in country music, and at each show they invite other veteran songwriters to perform the songs they’ve written (which are often huge hits), tell the stories behind their creation and even come up with new songs on the spot.

At past performances, they’ve been joined by some of the most successful and prolific songwriters in Nashville, and for this month’s show, their guest is Matt Warren, who’s co-written 15 songs for country star Gary Allan, including “Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain).” Benward and Howard know how to bring out the best in their guests, which they’ve been doing nearly every week for six years now, making Nashville Unplugged an institution both in Las Vegas and in the world of country music.
