Like other awards shows that have made Vegas their home, the Soul Train Awards in Las Vegas on Nov. 6, have expanded beyond a single event. One of the main attractions this year is the Soul Train Weekend Concert headlined by R&B superstar R. Kelly, who will be joined by singer/songwriter/producer Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, R&B singer Ginuwine and rapper Warren G.

Since the release of his debut solo album 12 Play in 1993, Kelly has racked up a series of hits both as a solo artist and as a songwriter and producer for other artists. Kelly’s solo hits include “I Believe I Can Fly,” “Trapped in the Closet” and “Bump N’ Grind,” and he’s collaborated with stars like Michael Jackson, Nas and Whitney Houston—as well as fellow Soul Train performer Ginuwine, whose 2003 album The Senior features production by Kelly.

Like Kelly, Babyface is equally accomplished as a performer and as a songwriter and producer, and he’s worked with artists ranging from Eric Clapton and Phil Collins to Madonna and Janet Jackson. And Warren G is one of the pioneers of the West Coast rap sound, thanks in part to his stepbrother Dr. Dre.

Together, they represent a powerful spectrum of the music celebrated at the Soul Train Awards.
