At the height of his popularity in the 1980s, legendarily foul-mouthed comedian Andrew Dice Clay was one of the first stand-up comics to regularly perform in arenas, once selling out two nights in a row at New York City’s 20,000-capacity Madison Square Garden. And the comedian still has the larger-than-life personality that goes over well in an arena—only now audiences can see him in a much more intimate setting. He’ll be performing at the Tropicana’s Laugh Factory for three nights, coinciding with the recent premiere of his new Showtime series Dice.

Like Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm or Louis C.K.’s Louie, Dice stars Clay as a fictionalized version of himself, as he gets to poke a bit of fun at his image as a macho, insensitive tough guy from Brooklyn. Shot in Las Vegas, where Clay has spent much of

his time since 2010, it features appearances from local entertainers like Criss Angel, Rita Rudner and Wayne Newton. Following his 2011 stint on HBO’s Entourage, Clay knows all about parodying his showbiz persona, but he’s still great at exploring that persona onstage, whether that’s in front of 20,000 people or 200.
