God only knows The Beach Boys are certainly sustainable as a band (with an assortment of new and founding members) and continue to entertain people with their breezy, beachy music.

Mike Love, one of the founding members, and Grammy award-winning songwriter Bruce Johnston, who joined the band in 1965, lead the current group, which includes musical director Scott Totten, guitarist Jeffrey Foskett, bassist Brian Eichenberger, keyboardist Tim Bonhomme and percussionist John Cowsill. Cheery songs and terrific harmonies are part of The Beach Boy legacy. Their music embraces the lighthearted mood of youth in the ’60s. Ironically, the internal workings of the group were not as harmonious—but the band plays on.

Most music critics agree that the band “changed the musical landscape” in the industry and composed iconic songs such as “Surfin’,” “I Get Around,” “California Girls” and the Grammy-nominated “Good Vibrations.”
