LeAnn Rimes is only in her early 30s, but she’s been a country star for more than 20 years, scoring her first hit at the age of 13 with her version of country classic “Blue.” Since then, she’s had a varied career in both country and pop, exploring a range of sounds in a way that most artists aren’t able to approach until they’re much older. Along the way, she’s had more hits, including the ballad “How Do I Live,” dance-pop single “Can’t Fight the Moonlight” and upbeat country favorite “Something’s Gotta Give.”

After various pop, rock and R&B projects, Rimes enjoyed a successful return to country, but her upcoming 2017 release, Remnants (set for February), features a mix of genres. While Rimes is no doubt eager to show off new material, her current tour is focused on her 2015 holiday album Today Is Christmas, featuring traditional Christmas favorites and a couple of original songs. “With everything that is going on in the world, I think we could all benefit from a little Christmas cheer this year,” Rimes said in the tour announcement. Whether singing holiday classics or her own hits, Rimes is sure to bring that cheer.
