Reunions of big-name bands often don’t last long, with volatile members of a once-vital group coming together for a tour and/or an album before once again going their separate ways. But the reunion of the classic members of ’80s pop-rock band Duran Duran that began in 2001 is still going strong, with four of the five classic members still touring together and putting out new music. Drummer Roger Taylor and bassist John Taylor reunited with singer Simon LeBon and keyboardist Nick Rhodes 15 years ago, and since then the foursome has released four new albums, including last year’s Paper Gods.

One of the producers on Paper Gods is legendary funk musician Nile Rodgers, a longtime Duran Duran associate who produced the band’s 1986 album Notorious and was also one of the producers on 2004’s Astronaut. Rodgers and his iconic band Chic are opening for Duran Duran on this current tour, bringing one of the group’s formative influences to its current fans. Those fans can expect to hear plenty of classic Duran Duran hits, including songs like “Hungry Like the Wolf” and “Rio,” along with some onstage collaborations with Rodgers. Fifteen years after getting back together, these guys show no signs of slowing down.
