As time passes, musical nostalgia moves forward. While the ’90s have been enjoying a strong revival lately, already the early ’00s are creeping back into favor, and that makes it the perfect time for hard rockers Korn and Rob Zombie to team up for a tour. Although both Korn and Zombie (with his former band White Zombie) achieved their first hits in the ’90s, their legacy is their influence on the hard rock of the ’00s, which continues (and has even resurged) today. Both also made some of their most successful music in the ’00s, including almost all of Zombie’s solo albums and the multiplatinum Korn album Untouchables.

Both are also still going strong, reaping the rewards of their influence on current hard rock acts. Korn’s most recent album was 2013’s The Paradigm Shift, and the band has been writing material for an upcoming new album (which may just appear in current live shows). Zombie released The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser this past April, and has a new movie (31) as a writer-director opening in the fall. Nostalgia may help give these artists the spotlight, but continued talent and creativity is what keeps them there.
