Super Toy Con asks the age-old question, “Are toys for kids or adults?” Fans of all ages are sure to pack the Orleans Arena on Aug. 5-7 as more than 200 vendors sell their wares. Products bought will no doubt look amazing in the collectors’ homes, also known as their parents’ basements. But toys are just the beginning. Contests include a custom toy contest, which features three levels of competition: mild, where entrants solely repaint toys; spicy, where players can shave, cut and add accessories to toys; and wild, where anything goes!

But the custom toy contest is just the beginning. The Elite Toy Class contest features visionary competitors making their own toys and creating dioramas where homemade heroes can do anything—battle villains, eat lunch with fat, old, retired heroes, whatever! But the Elite Toy Class contest is just the beginning! Grown men and women can push adoring children out of the way to get a glimpse of surefire WWE Hall of Famer John Cena along with those hellcats, The Bella Twins. That’s if they’re not pushing other kids out of the way to meet David Prowse, the man who played Darth Vader (voice not included), or other stars of movies like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Gremlins.

Super Toy Con proves that toys are for everyone... but mostly adults.
