Pierce the Veil is a new-school band with an old-school work ethic. The 10-year-old emo/post-hardcore band has a strong connection with its devoted fan base, cultivated via modern methods like social media but also via relentless touring.

The band’s most recent album, Misadventures, released last month, arrived four years after its predecessor because the band spent nearly all of that time on tour. Frontman Vic Fuentes traveled the world while writing the songs for Misadventures, and that experience is reflected in the album’s lyrics. Alternative Press called the album “the stuff of time capsules, marvelously embodying everything important this musical subculture offers while enthusiastically transcending its limitations with authentic charms.” Now that the album is out, the band will be doing what it does best, bringing those songs to the fans, with a tour that includes Misadventures in its entirety each night.

“Everyone’s thirsty, and everyone’s ready for something new,” Fuentes recently told Rolling Stone about PTV’s passion for connecting with its audience on the current tour.
