Fly in on the red-eye, stay up all night, sleep all day, play some high-stakes poker … Whew! All that can stress a traveler out. But relax—Las Vegas has you covered. Incredibly tranquilizing spas up and down the Strip can take the chaos and turn it into calm.

1. Qua Baths & Spa

While away the afternoon in the 50,000-square-foot Qua with its three Roman baths and restful water features. Let snow fall around you in the Arctic Ice Room, kept at 55 degrees, or ask the tea sommelier for a drink that complements your treatment. This is the only spa in the world that offers Nobu-branded treatments. (Caesars Palace, 702.731.7822)

2. Spa at Aria

Sneak to the back of Aria to find this 80,000-square-foot spa spread over two floors. Get there early to savor the infinity-edge therapy pool on the spa’s balcony that looks out onto the resort’s three pools or just relax in the ganbanyoku room with its Japanese heated black mineral beds that help relieve aching muscles. A Shio salt room with its walls made of pink salt blocks and salt lamps can help with upper respiratory issues. (Aria, 702.590.9600)

3. Canyon Ranch SpaClub

What a treat the 134,000-square-foot spa at The Venetian and The Palazzo is! Without even setting foot in a treatment room, you can get lost in the Aquavana with its dry-heat Finnish sauna, igloo with icy air and three “Arctic Mist” rooms. Then there are experiential rain rooms that can conjure up a Caribbean storm, tropical rain or cool fog. Just lean back and relax in the Wave Room, where you can lose yourself in the waves breaking over the domed ceiling. (The Palazzo and The Venetian, 702.414.3600)

4. Drift Spa

The first hammam, or Turkish steam room, in Las Vegas calls the Palms home. Slip into this coed room before any treatment or hang out in the garden lounges. Try an Ashiatsu massage to relieve muscle tension or take care of those aching feet with a cucumber heel therapy treatment to erase dry skin. (Palms, 702.944.3219)

5. Oleksandra Spa

Former beauty queen Oleksandra Nikolayenko created this oasis in Treasure Island. Try a 50-minute Traveler’s Relief massage for a pick-me-up after a long flight, a four-hands massage with two therapists working double time to knead out those knots or the Russian Banya with its sauna experience combined with brisk brushing with a leaf whisk to get your circulation going. (Treasure Island, 702.894.7474)

6. Reliquary Spa

This spa has a rock-and-roll theme without the loud music and head-banging. Arrive early to hang out in the Roman bath house at the entrance or head inside for music-themed treatments such as the Drum Sticks massage with its bamboo reeds that drum out the knots, the Harmonic massage with its tuning forks that focus on pressure points or King of Rock facial treatment for men. (Hard Rock Hotel, 702.693.5520)

7. Spa at the Four Seasons

This smaller spa at the swanky Four Seasons packs some powerful treatments that work out the kinks. Raindrop therapy uses essential oils to help you refocus, the Desert Oasis stone massage brings deep relaxation, and the Blissful Island Escape exfoliates before ending with a massage. And, it was just renovated at the end of August. (Four Seasons, 702.632.5000)

8. The Spa at Trump

Short on time? The Spa at Trump features spa flights with 30-minute treatments such as a foot massage, quick facial or back treatment to make you forget the tension. Have more time? Go for the Citrus Drench body treatment that can erase that sun damage with a wrap containing deep hydration. (Trump International, 702.476.8000)

9. ESPA at Vdara

Las Vegas’ only ESPA-branded spa brings an 18,000-square-foot spa spread over two floors. Wait for your treatment in a lounge with water sliding down the walls and then get rid of all that dead skin with the Desert Rose, complete with a salt scrub and body massage. (Vdara Hotel & Spa, 702.590.2474)
