If you’re hoping for men dressed up as typical characters, then think again. Magic Mike Live is unlike the rest; it’s more than a typical male revue. The show perfectly meshes together in-sync choreography, steamy numbers, tons of comical sexual references, intense acrobatics and a well-told story by comedian Lyndsay Hailey, who serves as the female emcee at Club Domina. Taking the audience through her world, Hailey introduces her magical mic and Mike, the show’s male lead dancer along with 12 other dancers.
One dancer gets seductive and brings ladies to 50 Cent’s candy shop while another shows off his Latino side, with spicy salsa moves and a side of red roses. And you can’t miss the dancer with the debonair Sinatra-type look who strips down bare. In between individual segments, the men come together and give ladies a taste of the champagne life, and also take a number from Justin Timberlake’s book with a classy suit-and-tie performance.
Channing Tatum’s famous mirror dance in Magic Mike XXL and a few other numbers make it into Magic Mike Live, too. You might even get lucky and spot the real “Magic Mike” as Tatum sometimes makes a guest appearance.
