There’s possibly nothing more country than taking a job at Dollywood in order to pursue your musical dreams. That’s just what singer Carly Pearce did at age 16, moving from her hometown in Kentucky to Tennessee to work at the Dolly Parton-themed amusement park. Three years later, she relocated to Nashville, taking odd jobs as she worked to break into the music industry. After a few false starts, Pearce captured fans’ attention with her appearance on the Josh Abbott Band’s 2016 hit single “Wasn’t That Drunk,” and she had a hit of her own the next year with “Every Little Thing.”

Pearce followed that single with an album of the same name in October, and her second single “Hide the Wine” has been climbing the country charts. “There was never another career path for me,” Pearce told Fox News earlier this year. “From the time I was a very little girl, I just knew that (it) was my destiny to sing country music.” That dedication shines through on Every Little Thing (on which Pearce co-wrote most of the songs), and in every other little thing that the talented, driven singer does.
