Anthony Green is something of an emo trailblazer. He’s currently the frontman for two of the most influential bands in the genre, Saosin and Circa Survive, and he’s pursued a successful solo career since 2008. That’s in addition to his work on side projects including The Sound of Animals Fighting and High and Driving. Music fans could get an entire education in the genre just by listening to Green’s work.

Although he was the original vocalist for Saosin, Green wasn’t in the band when they made their 2006 major-label debut. Instead, he was fronting Circa Survive, and the two bands rose to prominence in the emo/post-hardcore scene and on rock radio at the same time. Green has released six albums with Circa Survive, and he returned to Saosin in 2014, releasing his first full-length album with the band 12 years after he initially left.

Fans of both bands should be happy with Green’s current solo tour, but the main focus is on the 10th anniversary of his solo debut, Avalon, which he’ll be playing in full. He also just released his fifth solo album, Would You Still Be in Love, last month, giving him even more material to add to his emo empire.
