Usually when a musical performance is labeled a festival, it features a wide range of acts teaming up for a multifaceted event, but legendary guitarist Michael Schenker is so accomplished that he’s able to put on his own festival. Michael Schenker Fest features the hard rock icon teaming up with four different vocalists from different eras of his career for a musical journey through decades of heavy metal history. Schenker was a pivotal member of influential bands the Scorpions and UFO, and he’s led various versions of his own solo band since 1978.

For the Fest, Schenker is joined by four singers who’ve defined his lengthy career: Gary Barden, the first vocalist to front the Michael Schenker Group, who was the lead singer on four MSG albums, including the band’s 1980 self-titled debut; Graham Bonnet, formerly of fellow hard rock icons Rainbow, who sang lead vocals on the 1982 MSG album Assault Attack; Robin McAuley, who teamed up with Schenker to form the McAuley Schenker Group and record three albums in the ’80s and ’90s; and Doogie White, vocalist for Schenker’s latest project, Temple of Rock. With that much talent in one place, it’s no wonder they’re calling it a festival.
