“But I’m not really a big fan of dance!” you might be saying to yourself as you contemplate buying tickets to Jabbawockeez.

Let me make something extremely clear: Jabbawockeez’ Timeless is a show for absolutely everyone, regardless of background or taste. It’s not just a celebration of dance in all its myriad forms; it’s a celebration of life itself. By the time the night is over, you will have laughed, cheered, perhaps even shed a tear. And you will have felt part of something truly communal.

By now, you’re probably familiar with the look of the show—every performer wears a mask so that the focus is squarely on their moves and not their faces. But what you may not know is how many genres of music will be covered in just an hour and change. You’re as likely to hear Wu-Tang Clan and Billie Eilish as you are Frank Sinatra and The Jackson 5. And just as the music constantly changes, so do the dance styles—you’ll see break-dancing, swing and so much more.

In perhaps the show’s most inspired bit, a karaoke contest breaks out among audience members. It ends with an obvious audience plant who slays in his performance and wins the prize of—you guessed it!—a plant. It’s a show you truly don’t want to end. But hey, you can always buy another ticket.
