Kristen Everhart doesn’t have to wish she worked at one of the coolest places in Las Vegas—she does. Everhart is the marketing director for the new Brooklyn Bowl at The Linq.

When people found out she worked at Brooklyn Bowl, the admiration started pouring in. “I can’t even take those phone calls anymore. I got so much feedback from colleagues, family and friends … Facebook has been unmanageable,” Everhart said, laughing. “It makes me feel really proud—proud that I get to be a part of something that is really different here in Vegas.”

The venue’s combination of music, food, spirits and bowling is, in fact, a first for the town. And, since its opening, locals and tourists have been flooding through its doors, mainly for the awesome concerts that include everything from jam bands and rock to hip-hop and alternative.

Everhart is perfectly situated at Brooklyn Bowl, too. “I get music; it’s what I know. It’s what I understand,” said the Grand Rapids, Mich., native. Music has been a part of her life ever since she could remember. Her dad is a Dixie jazz piano player, and she plays the piano and French horn. “There was always jazz music in the house, practice sessions in the basement.”

Walking the venue when it’s buzzing with people, Everhart still gets butterflies. “I love watching people having a good time … some even have their minds blown!” she said.

Combining a dessert favorite plus alcohol—what could be better? The Bourbon Street Shake is perfectly balanced. Neither alcohol nor ice cream overpowers each other, and the milkshake consistency is thick yet can easily be sipped through a straw. The adult milkshake is mixed with vanilla ice cream, whole milk, Nutella and bourbon. Mark our words: You’ll definitely be asking for seconds.
