When Houston-born, Las Vegas-raised Madison Woolbright was just 16 years old she had her sights set on working on the Las Vegas Strip. This year, when she turned 21, she was finally able to land the job she decided she wanted, a cocktail server. And not just any cocktail server job on the Strip—Woolbright landed a coveted position at the chic and luxurious Venus Pool Club at Caesars Palace.

“Venus is an experience that no other pool offers. It’s royal because it’s at Caesars, but you still get that party vibe,” Woolbright said. “It’s the perfect combination of relaxing and a good party experience. I love everything about this pool.”

Not only did Woolbright land her dream job this year, but she’ll be graduating from UNLV next year. She’s studying to be a nutritionist, and plans on adding fitness and personal training to her résumé after that. “Everyone needs to know about nutrition; you need to feed your body correctly,” she said. “Nutrition is just something that I also knew I wanted to do—to help make people feel and live better.”

In the meantime, Woolbright can make you feel better by bringing a cocktail to your daybed or cabana. “The guests that I meet, they always make it so fun for me. They are one of the big reasons why I love working here so much. ... I hope to back again next season.”

The cocktail menu at Venus is chock-full of specialty cocktails created with the summer months in mind, and that means light and refreshing recipes that call for fresh fruits and herbs. One of the more popular selections is Alexandria the Great, made with Skyy Infusions wild strawberry vodka, simple syrup, muddled strawberries and basil leaves, topped off with soda water.
