Beauty and brains—Victoria Tran mixes cocktails for her cabana guests in her bikini, but this Daylight Beach Club VIP table hostess can also give advice on what you can do to maybe clear up that cold.

The UNLV alum graduated with a bachelor of science degree in biology, with a goal of becoming a physician’s assistant. “After I graduated I was looking for a job,” Tran said. “On an off chance, my friend suggested that I go to an audition (for a dayclub) with her. I wasn’t even planning on getting the job, but I got hired.”

That was three years ago. Since then, Tran has worked in both the nightlife and daylife industry, and this is her first season at Mandalay Bay’s newest dayclub.

“We play great music,” Tran said. “Compared to other dayclubs, I feel people are more happy and laid back here and also really into the music.” Daylight houses one of the biggest stages for a dayclub. “People really vibe off the energy of the DJ. It’s a real concert-like performance.”

What you also get at Daylight is great service. The main goal of the staff is to give guests the best experience. And, if you happen to be renting a cabana or bungalow for the day, Tran has got you covered.

“My guests (are) my friends for the day,” Tran said. “I want to be more than just someone that pours your drinks. I’m there to talk to you, entertain you, take care of you. Whatever it is that you need, I’m your girl.”

The Clooney

In an ode to Mr. George Clooney, proprietor of the Casamigos tequila brand, one of Daylight’s specialty cocktails is The Clooney. A perfect pick for the warmer weather, this refreshing and smooth-tasting cocktail mixes Casamigos blanco tequila, ruby red grapefruit juice, agave nectar and fresh-squeezed lime juice, topped off with San Pellegrino Pompelmo.
