Lisa Imbesi lives by a simple rule: Never be focused on just one thing. Always be looking for other ways to enjoy life. Even though she received a degree in fashion merchandising and business, she chose to move from Long Island to the Southwest to pursue a career in nightlife. And even though she enjoys a successful career as a cocktail server at 1 OAK at The Mirage, she plans to soon open a doggie day care facility.

But rest easy—the gregarious and engaging Imbesi, who in the last five years has worked at Liquid pool club, Haze nightclub and now 1 OAK, will continue to make her customers feel like VIPs. “I love working for the Hakkasan Group,” Imbesi said. “The hospitality industry is just something that’s always interested me.”

She never tires of seeing the reactions of patrons when they experience the club’s intimate setting and detail-oriented service. “People are blown away by the whole experience,” she said. “I think people feel more comfortable here than other large-scale clubs. It’s not overwhelming.”

Imbesi sees her role as very simple: Making sure that every guest’s needs are met. “You’re creating a party, making them feel special, going above and beyond.” For Imbesi, that’s everything from scouring the property for a bottle of Scotch to finding a certain type of flavored coconut water.

She may shift focus from nightlife and canines at some point, but Imbesi is clearly enjoying life right now.

Grey Goose Le Poire

1 OAK’s signature pear-flavored vodka is a patron favorite, whether mixed or served as a shot. Bottle service with Grey Goose Le Poire gets you all the standard mixers—orange or cranberry juice, soda tonic, lemons or limes. Imbesi said soda is the most popular mixer, but try something she calls the “pear press”—Le Poire, soda tonic and Sprite.
