Mistletoe Kiss

Yes, it’s that time of year again to break out the eggnog and brandy. But, while in Las Vegas do that one better by imbibing on an assortment of delicious cocktails sure to wow your taste buds and put you in a festive mood.

Before digging into sublime slices of steak at Strip House at Planet Hollywood Resort, sidle up to the restaurant’s intimate bar and order the seasonal Holiday 75. The specialty cocktail mixes together Jameson Black Barrel Irish whiskey, house-made syrup of cinnamon, apple and vanilla, fresh-squeezed lemon juice and is topped off with sparkling wine.

Over at Aria, check into Alibi Cocktail Lounge where two holiday treats await. The Cocoa Fashion is a playful mix of Cocoa Puff-infused Hennessy Black cognac, chocolate bitters and Angostura bitters. For a more spiced delight, try the Ginger Lace—Bacardi Maestro de Ron rum, Kahlúa, King’s Ginger liqueur and St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram liqueur.

The Venetian and The Palazzo offer three holiday cocktails, served throughout both properties at the Bellini Bar, The Bourbon Room, The Label, Fusion Latin Mixology Bar and Laguna Champagne Bar. The Winter Solstice mixes Van Gogh Double Espresso vodka, Stoli Vanil vodka, eggnog and simple syrup. The Ginger Sparkler includes Absolut Elyx vodka, ginger liqueur, fresh-squeezed lemon juice and Perrier-Jouët champagne. The third recipe is the Mistletoe Kiss, a mix of Roca Patrón Silver tequila, crème de cassis, fresh-squeezed lime juice and muddled blueberries.

At Rhumbar at The Mirage the Cinn City Santa is the lounge’s newest holiday cocktail. A mixture of Kilo Kai spiced rum, Velvet Falernum, Giffard Orgeat syrup, cranberry purée, fresh-squeezed lime juice and Peychaud’s Bitters is served on the rocks and garnished with a cinnamon stick and Madagascar vanilla bean.

And, while noshing on Cabo Wabo Cantina’s Tex-Mex cuisine at Planet Hollywood Resort, try the special holiday cocktail, the Red Nose Rocker. The flavorful libation mixes Espolón tequila, amaretto, cranberry juice and vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg spices.

Cheers to the holidays!
