Drai’s Beach Club is back for its second season and already the rooftop hot spot is gearing up for an even wetter and wilder 2015.

“Last year we learned that locals and tourists had a hunger for the kind of experience only Drai’s Beach Club can offer,” said Drai’s managing partner Ryan Michael Craig. “This year, we’re taking everything our guests loved and amplifying those details in every way imaginable.”

Returning for another go-around atop The Cromwell is a stellar DJ lineup headed by Adventure Club, Chromeo, 3LAU and MAKJ, and the live concerts that have become a fixture of Drai’s Nightclub since the beginning of the year. Yacht Club, the nighttime pool party, is back, too, setting sail Tuesday nights beginning April 21. New this year are a slip-proof pool deck that was resurfaced during the offseason and a revamped food menu that lets guests choose among breakfasts, salads, entrées and pizzas.

Not that Drai’s even needed the upgrade after a solid inaugural season. For most visitors, what was good enough last year is still good enough: two main pools, 15 mezzanine cabanas with private pool, 15 VIP booths, bungalows equipped with private showers and restrooms, ample daybeds, four full-service bars and plenty of shade thanks to the 35-foot palms that lord over the main pool.

Of course, Drai’s is nothing without the views, and the perch 11 stories above the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road provides some sparkling panoramas, with sight lines tracing the length of the Strip and westward down Flamingo out to the Spring Mountains. It’s even been rumored that Drai’s is closer to the Fountains of Bellagio than the Bellagio’s own hotel rooms. Said Craig, “We can’t wait to see the response to Beach Club’s returning elements, the enhancements we’re making, plus a couple major surprises we have in store.”

The Cromwell Beach Club opens at 11 a.m. Fri.-Sun.; Nightclub, 10:30 p.m.-4 a.m. Thurs.-Sun. 702.777.3800
