Pronto by Giada lays on the good stuff for brunch
Every dish laid out at Pronto by Giada’s new weekend brunch spread looks almost too good to eat. But your appetite will persuade you to dig in as many times as you’d like. The self-serve, multistation brunch is held in the restaurant’s bright and airy wine bar and retail space, and the groovy top 40s hits adds to the upscale and intimate experience. Guests will feel as if Giada De Laurentiis has cooked up the dishes herself and opened her home for a weekend gathering.
Let’s talk food. There’s an impressive meat and cheese station, with thinly sliced meats including prosciutto and mortadella and various hardened degrees of cheeses, from the soft pink peppercorn-crusted goat cheese to the bite-down grana Padano plus plenty of breads, jams, olives and grilled vegetables. Situated next to each other are the carving station with selections like the Tuscan beef tenderloin and the made-to-order omelet station with ingredients like pecorino, prosciutto, yellow onions, red peppers and portabella mushrooms. There’s a bagel station with a plethora of toppings, as well as fresh and indulgent cold-pasta options that toss fresh herbs, vegetables, mozzarella, beans and more with flavors including pesto, fresh olive oil and lemon.
The dessert station—which you’ll be eyeing from the moment you step inside Pronto— is truly a sweet tooth’s paradise, from Giada’s famous lemon ricotta cookies and slices of Italian flag cake to mini tiramisu and panna cotta, chocolate chip cookies and black and white cookies; it’s a good thing the brunch is an all-you-can-eat. You can also order fresh-squeezed juices, Counter Culture coffee and teas, or, for an additional charge, a mimosa, Bellini or Bloody Mary.
