This just might be the wave of the future. Local food tour operator Finger Licking Foodie Tours recently announced self-guided tours (plus a giveaway for 10 lucky essential workers). Finger Licking Foodie Tours is the sister company of Lip Smacking Foodie Tours, which offers tours on the Strip.
Finger Licking Foodie Tours has offered casual walking tours of downtown Las Vegas since 2019, but with the newest offering, your tour will take an even more relaxed route, coming to you via an online map and a virtual tour guide. The basic premise remains the same as the original and patrons who sign up for the self-guided tour will be able to taste multiple dishes at several restaurants in the downtown area, but in much smaller groups (a minimum of two people are all that will be required). The price point is also lower; just $79 plus tax and fee per person, gratuity included. Said Contursi in a release, “Everyone loves to eat, but they also value bang for the buck, especially now as we’ve come through an unprecedented time in this country. I wanted to create a way for people to celebrate dining out again without breaking the bank. I wanted to make them feel special after all they’ve been through.”
And to thank essential workers in the Las Vegas Valley, the company will be giving away 10 self-guided tours for two. If you know an essential worker you feel deserves something a little extra, submit a nomination.
While you are on your tour, if you want to treat yourself to a bigger portion, you’ll also get 15 percent off full-size entrées. Start times are flexible, between 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. and take about 2 1/2 hours. Distances are also relatively short, with about a 5-minute stroll between each eatery. Tours will begin again as restrictions ease and the restaurants are reopened.
