“2017’s resolution is I’m going to stop making useless resolutions that I don’t keep like stop eating badly, exercise more, etc. This is the year I’m going to live life to the fullest and do whatever the hell I want.” –Frank Marino, Frank Marino’s Divas Las Vegas at The Linq Hotel

“I, Mac King, resolve to spend more time outdoors. To that end, I decided to ride my bike with my wife Jen and become a farmer. To that end, I asked Santa for a new bike, an ant farm and a tractor.” –Mac King, The Mac King Comedy Magic Show at Harrah’s

“To listen better. To listen with the intent of actually trying to understand someone else’s point of view. I think basic conversation is becoming a lost art and yet it’s one of our best and most frequently found opportunities to grow closer to each other. To converse, we have to listen as well as talk. I’ve always had the talking part down, so in 2017 I’m going to try and be a bit quieter. I’m also going to listen to more music, especially music that’s current. I never like hearing the phrase ‘They don’t write ’em like they used to!’ Of course, they don’t! They’re not supposed to. Every generation has something new to say and often it’s told through music. I know I’m not going to like every new artist or every new song, but that’s all right. My mother didn’t like Elvis Presley, so I will keep listening and being reinspired.” –Clint Holmes, Clint Holmes: Between the Lines at The Palazzo

“My New Year’s Resolution is to stop and thank every person in uniform, whether it be military, police or firefighter, and thank them for their service and sacrifices.” –Wayne Newton, Wayne Newton: Up Close and Personal at Bally’s

“My New Year’s resolution for 2017 is to seriously go on a diet. This is a very tough city to diet in but I’m as fat as I’ve ever been and I look like a bag of onions naked and I would like to get to know other parts of my body that I haven’t seen in a while. Also I want to quit smoking. I know I should and we all know it’s hard, but I have an 8-year-old son and a 4-year-old daughter and I’m blessed to have them and I love them so much, so I want to be around as long as I can for them. –Vinnie Favorito, Vinnie Favorito Unfiltered at Westgate Las Vegas

“My New Year’s resolution is to take a vacation. It’s difficult to take time off when you love your job but ‘me time’ is important!” –Mat Franco, Magic Reinvented Nightly at The Linq Hotel

“It can’t get much better than landing your own headlining show on the Strip, but the Tenors of Rock are looking forward to sharing an all-new concert experience as we kick off our residency at Harrah’s this month. What better New Year’s resolution than to promise to rock Las Vegas. Get ready—we’re coming for you!” –Gareth Richards, Tenors of Rock at Harrah’s

“My New Year’s resolutions will be to stop driving in the middle lane with my blinker on, and to start greeting complete strangers at the airport with hugs.” –Carrot Top at Luxor

“We resolve to be more active on our social media, interact more with our fans in person and online and continue to challenge our own comfort zones on and off the stage.” –Ryan Stock and AmberLynn, Comedy Daredevil at Hooters

“So 2016 has really pressed on my heart that so many of the things we concern ourselves with are beyond our control, but what we can control is how we respond to them. In 2017, I want to love more, be more faith-filled, enjoy all my blessings, write more songs, entertain more people, help some more people, be more prayerful and have more yogurt mix-ins! 2017 will be amazing!” –Andrew Tierney, Human Nature: Jukebox at The Venetian

“My New Year’s resolution for 2017 is to remain vegan! I finally made the decision to kick animal products altogether for the health benefits. I’m pretty much a lifelong carnivore and consumer of milk, cheese and ice cream, but I’m excited to be plant-based. Happy New Year!” –Jason Tenner, Purple Reign: The Prince Tribute Show at Westgate Las Vegas

“As the headliner of Fantasy, my schedule can be quite busy, including nightly performances at the Luxor, philanthropic events and red carpet appearances with our cast. I love my job, but it is very important to have balance between my professional and my personal life. My resolution is to spend more quality time with my family, especially during the holiday season!” –Lorena Peril, Fantasy at Luxor

“I’m tired of the easy New Year’s resolutions like ‘I resolve to lose 10 pounds or I resolve to run a marathon in under three hours.’ Instead, I am pledging to do something that will take every fiber of my being to successfully achieve: I pledge in 2017 not to gloat to any fan of any other teams when my Dallas Cowboys win the Super Bowl. It will be hard but I will try. And more important, I resolve to bring laughter and healing through my show to those fans of other teams after the Cowboys win. Oh, and to lose 10 pounds.” –Terry Fator at The Mirage

“My New Year’s resolutions are pretty simple: peace, love, health, wealth and happiness. Think deeply, speak gently, love much, laugh a lot, work hard, give freely. I truly believe everyone is fighting their own battle. Be kind always. I am always trying to learn more, to be a better person and find balance. I want to take time to smell the roses and spend more quality time with family, my four-legged kids and friends! Life is too short; live in the moment! –Jennifer Romas, Sexxy at Westgate Las Vegas

“My New Year’s resolution is to make a conscious effort to spend more time with friends and family. Growing up in Maine, the hub of social activity revolved around close relatives, friends and neighbors gathering at each other’s houses for beers by the bonfire. With no bars or clubs open past 6 p.m., we were, for better or worse, forced to be together throughout the cold winter months. It’s easy in this day and age to get so distracted with work, school or being a parent that we can forget to make a simple phone call to check up on our loved ones. Having both my grandparents pass just this past year, I think about the last Skype call I made to them Christmas Day. The conversation couldn’t have been more mundane or inconsequential. Unbeknownst to me this would be our last conversation together. So no matter what the content of our conversation was, I’m grateful every day for making that last call. That’s why this year I’m resolving to be more loving to those I care about and making sure they know it! Even if it is by making a boring phone call to ask what cereal they had for breakfast! –James Davis, Chippendales at Rio
