Downtown Las Vegas is about to rage! In a year full of festivals in Sin City, none promises to be louder than the first edition of Las Rageous. While rock ’n’ roll is at the epicenter of other local fests, heavy metal fans have yet to find a festival home. That is, until now.
Las Rageous at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center showcases all types of metal heavyweights. Day one brings to the stage nu metal icons Godsmack, progressive metal storytellers Coheed and Cambria, metalcore monsters Killswitch Engage and thrash metal legends Anthrax, among others. Day two offers an equally diverse bill with headliner Avenged Sevenfold being supported by hard rockers Breaking Benjamin, sludge metal mainstays Mastodon, pictured, and rockabilly bad boys Eagles of Death Metal, plus more.
The mayhem includes two stages, plus sideshow performers. Vegas-based bands have a presence with a specific showcase for local metal groups. And there’s a food truck village, so attendees will have enough nourishment to rage all weekend.
