Some musical groups are destined to come together. Such is the case with Snakehips, the electronic duo from the United Kingdom. Snakehips members Oliver Lee and James Carter owe their introduction to, of all things, sake. The two Brits were in Hong Kong at the same time in 2012. Not only that, they were working on projects at the same place, the famous Sake Bar Ginn. Since that fortuitous encounter, Snakehips has made a career of blending diverse musical genres (Lee was once even a player for mariachi bands). The duo is best known for incorporating R&B into their music, verging on neo-soul electronica as evidenced by their first single, “Days Without You.” Their biggest hit is “All My Friends,” which features the smooth sounds of Tinashe on vocals along with a hot verse from Chance The Rapper and a sing-along chorus. This will be one of the more eclectic electronic performances you will ever see.
