You may roll your eyes at the oft-used phrase, “Laughter is the best medicine,” but we defy you to prove it wrong. There’s just nothing that beats the feeling your body gets when you are enjoying a good belly laugh. And it’s 10 times better when you’re sharing that laugh with someone else. So get to feeling good immediately and book some tickets to any one of the following shows. Feeling better guaranteed!

Terry Fator: Who’s The Dummy Now?

New York-New York, 866.606.7111

Most of your who saw him win America’s Got Talent know how talented he is as a ventriloquist and singer, impersonating everyone from Garth Brooks to Paul McCartney without moving his lips at all. But what you might not know is that his show contains plenty of family-friendly laughs. Some of them are extremely corny, but hey, dad jokes have their place in humor too. And really, laughs are just a nice icing on this entertainment layer cake.

Tape Face

Harrah’s, 702.777.2782

I’ve been to many shows on the Strip with my parents, and no show made them laugh more than this one. Why? Because Tape Face not only pulled my father on stage, he made him do dance moves I didn’t even know he was capable of. Apparently my mother didn’t either, and was dying laughing. We all regret that no video was allowed—that was a memory we wanted enshrined for all time.

Gordie Brown

Golden Nugget, 866.946.5336

Terry Fator may have the market cornered on celebrity singing voices, but Gordie Brown is the premier talent on their speaking voices. During one performance, you’re likely to hear dozens of different voices, all spot-on and hilarious. His Jack Nicholson-while-playing-golf bit still has us laughing years later.

Carrot Top

Luxor, 702.262.4400

For an hour, Scott Thompson, aka Carrot Top, does everything he can to make you laugh, with the help of his seemingly limitless props. As he makes his way through the various setups, his energy and self-deprecating humor win you over as much as the prop comedy itself. Some of the funniest moments here are Top’s reactions when a gag fails to get a laugh. There’s so many jokes flying around that you’re not likely to remember how many you laughed at, but your aching sides will remind you that there were a lot.

Murray the Magician

Tropicana Las Vegas, 800.829.9034; Luxor, 18+, 702.262.4400

Whether you catch him at his Laugh Factory performances at Tropicana Las Vegas or his “half-time show” during smash Vegas production Fantasy at Luxor, you’ll be grinning from ear to ear at Murray Sawchuck’s extreme likability. When you combine it with great illusions and chuckleworthy humor, you’ve got the complete package.

Absinthe

Caesars Palace, 702.534.3419

Yes, it is definitely for adults only and, yes, it is extremely unpolitically correct. But we’ve yet to attend a performance where everyone around us wasn’t doubled over with laughter—young or old, liberal or conservative. The Gazillionaire and assistant Wanda Widdles will constantly have you saying, “There’s no way they just said that!” When you’re not howling, that is.
